My Anishinaabe noosiwin (name) is Gimiwon Kwe, which means Rain Woman. That name was given to me by my Granny. I am from Red Rock Indian Band. I live in Sault Ste. Marie. I am an Ojibwe woman. 

Cynthia McCutcheon has been the Aanjichigewin Health Educator Promoter – West End for Maamwesying, North Shore Community Health Services for the last ten years. 

She is a certified & insured yoga & Pilates instructor. 

Cynthia tries to follow mino bimaadiziwin (a good life), by walking the talk and being a role model to her two binoojiiNsak & communities that she serves. 

A lifelong learner, Cynthia takes every opportunity to learn about culture, Anishinaabemowin (language), medicines/edible wilds & crafting. Her husband calls her Chet Morton because she has a new hobby every week. 

Cynthia’s weakness is cupcakes. She is a connoisseur of horror movies. She makes physical activity part of her daily life. You can often catch her walking laps in the office.
