About The Exhibition Assistance Program
The Ontario Arts Council’s (OAC) Exhibition Assistance Program supports Ontario-based artists and artist collectives working in visual arts, craft and media art practices in the presentation of their artwork in a confirmed public exhibition.
This is a third-party recommender program. Using Nova, OAC’s online grant application system, artists apply to the galleries and organizations designated as recommenders for the program. These recommenders assess applications and submit grant recommendations to OAC.

About our Priorities as Recommenders
We are proud to be new recommenders for the OAC’s 2025-26 Exhibition Assistance Program!
Recommenders may identify priorities for funding in addition to OAC’s priority groups, as well as deadlines for accepting applications.
We support contemporary art practices and presentations/projects across all disciplines, with special priority given to artists and collectives living in the Algoma District of Zone 5, at all stages of their careers. We accept and assess applications at two deadline dates annually (October 1 and January 15).
